The Santur allows you to shape the sound by adjusting note lengths, adding distortion, or modifying high and low frequencies. It also includes a Tremolo Option, capable of producing dramatic, tragic, or natural tremolo effects, controllable in multiple ways for precise expressive playing.

🎶 Sound Features

• Recorded with four round robins and three velocity layers for expressive performance

• Hard mallet for bright, clear tones; soft mallet for gentle, mellow tones

• Choose from six types of reverb and three delay times to color your sound

• Tremolo can be controlled via modwheel or note duplication methods for custom expression

• Suitable for melodies, harmonies, and cinematic sound design

📜 About the Santur

The Santur is a trapezoid-shaped hammered dulcimer originating from the Middle East (Iran, Kuwait, Syria, Turkey). Its 72 metallic strings are grouped in fours and stretched over wooden bridges. Striking these strings produces a resonant, layered sound unique to the Santur. It inspired instruments like the harpsichord, cimbalom, and American/European hammered dulcimers.
